What’s Your Happiness Number?

From my recently published book, “Roadmap to Success” (Insight Publishing, 2012), co-authored
with Drs. Deepak Chopra, M.D. and Ken Blanchard, PhD, came the inspiration for my new process to
guarantee your personal and professional success. Wellness within is the first step to creating the life you want to life, in other words your success.
My definition of success is one word: Happiness.
On a scale of 1 to 10, right now, today, how happy are you?
Are you a 10? If 10 is the highest score, or are you a 1 on the happiness scale?
Throughout any given day, most of us vary from low to high or high to low and back again. At the end of the day, how often can we say: “I’ve had a good day.”
For the next week or so, grab your calendar and mark each day with an x for a lower than 5 day, and a for an above 5 day. At the end of the week, look back at your calendar and count up the x’s and the s. Fortunately for our purposes there’s an odd number of days in every week, so the total marks will indicate your perception of your past week.
For our purposes, your perception is the only one that matters. Since you’ve picked this magazine up,you are interested in your own personal development and happiness. My clients support my solution:
